The Engineering Manager oversees all aspects of engineering within the FQE Chemicals organization. This role partners with our clients to develop solutions to their specific problems. These solutions include application methodologies, equipment recommendations, procedures, and specifications that are unique to each client.
The Engineering Manager, alongside our expert chemists, will work to continuously improve and standardize application methodologies within our focus industries:

Analyze past trends in successful applications to determine the most effective solution for the client.
Define the service procedures in partnership with the client.
Work closely with the sales team to deliver technical proposals that include technical methodologies, equipment selection, design and procedures.
Establish, direct and coordinate third party contractors and provide professional engineering support when required.
Review and approve all technical proposals before submission to the client as the Engineering Manager is the ultimate authority on engineering matters within FQE Chemicals.
Improve organizational productivity and client service through the development and continuous improvement of standard technical procedures, policies and practices.
Drive the continuous improvement of the FQE chemical delivery processes.
Design equipment for the delivery of FQE Chemicals products including modular injection, scrubbing columns, static mixers, immersion treatment, and non-entry tank cleaning systems.
Oversee chemical product field trials at the clients’ facilities.
Troubleshoot client issues on site and supporting operations with engineering improvement as required.
Driving product sales as well as expansion of applications through technical recommendations, documentation and other support as required
Collaborate with the marketing team to create technical content.
Attend industry events to showcase the FQE Chemicals product lines, as required.
Author papers and presentations in partnership with clients.
Safe Zero-Waste Manufacturing
Support the facility and manufacturing team for the safe production of chemical products.
Maintain operations for FQE Chemicals as a zero-waste generator.
Drive production expansion projects as required to meet product demand.
3rd Party contractors as required to implement expansion, improvements, or client applications.
The Engineering Manager will manage all direct hire engineers and/or technical staff required by growth.
Required Qualifications and Capabilities
An in-depth knowledge of refinery and petrochemical processes.
Collaborative and entrepreneurial work style.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Knowledge of industrial chemical cleaning applications would be considered an asset.
Always ensure that behaviors, acts or omissions do not present a danger to personnel, the environment or equipment.
Promote and improve quality standards.
